Q. I have a Virgin Android Smartphone coming, but I would like to know if it's usable without activation. I was thinking of having it used as a temporary media player and for apps. I know that some phones are bricks until you activate it.
A. Yes , The Lg optimums acts like a media player with android installed you can do anything over wifi that yu would normally want to with this phone. This should be the same for all Virgin Android Phones but at least the Optimus does.

A. there is only one android based media player so far, but it meets those specs. but thats what's great about android phones.. they turn into instant media and app devices if theyre ever disconnected. search for a model you like and then hit craigslist for one that has a bad esn.. you'll get it cheap and it will do everything you need it to do.
What is a good media player for high quality music?

Is there a media player that has the sound enhancer abilities of iTunes that isn't iTunes? every other media player I've tried (WMP, Winamp, etc.) has the music sounding muffled and flat, and only the sound enhancer from itunes can help it. But itunes randomly deletes music and is slow, is there an alternative player? Or a good plug in for the others?
