Motorola Droid 3 – Verizon Wireless (Review)

The Droid 3 is the third iteration of Motorola’s iconic premium line following the debut of the original Droid in late 2009 and the Droid 2 in 2010. The latest model sets itself apart from the rest in terms of design and features. This smart phone is larger than previous generation models and shows several signs of improvement. Motorola did a fine job addressing many concerns that came with the Droid and Droid 2. While there are many reasons to call this device impressive, it still has its faults like every other phone on the market. For dimensions, the Droid 3 is 64.1 mm wide by 123.3 mm

Motorola Droid Bionic LTE Google Android phone not a Photon 4G

Motorola Droid Bionic’s release date nears, multiple leaks suggest.
But it looks like the first dual-core processor-powered Long Term Evolution Android phone of Verizon Wireless will not support 3G roaming feature.

Replacing a cracked LCD on your smartphone? Yes, you CAN do it yourself

It's the sight no one wants to see: a spider web of cracks all over your smartphone's LCD screen. I was very happy with my nice little HTC Droid Incredible until I dropped it from the top of Coney Island's Cyclone roller coaster. I didn't buy insurance for it (such extended warranties are a bad deal for most people) and I wasn't anywhere near the end of my new-in-two Verizon contract (which would have let me buy a heavily discounted new phone). So faced with buying a full-price new smartphone (the Droid Incredible 2 retails for $500), I decided to explore the DIY route.Diagnosing the

Alright, so we have just learned that the Motorola Xoom will likely be getting its 4G LTE upgrade in September. That’s great. However, you may recall that Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha stated back in April that the Motorola Droid Bionic would be launching alongside the upgrade. So, unless plans have changed it appears that the Motorola Droid Bionic may not be launching until sometime in September. Now, I realize that plans can change. It’s possible that Motorola finished the Droid Bionic before it could get the 4G LTE upgrade finished, after

Is The Droid Bionic Too Late to Be This Expensive?

So you may have heard the good/bad news. The Motorola Droid Bionic is likely going to be launching on September 8th and when it does, it’s probably going to have an off-contract price of $590 and an on-contract price of $299. At least through Verizon. Retailers are probably going to have some better offers but we can’t be too sure about that.
This means that Motorola and Verizon obviously didn’t pay any attention to the five things I thought the Droid Bionic would need to survive a launch in September. The very first point I had on

Verizon Retiring Samsung Fascinate: What Will Replace It?

The original Samsung Galaxy S model for Verizon Wireless, known as the Fascinate, is getting retired by the carrier nearly a year after the device launched. The retired status of the phone means that it will probably be hard to find the phone in the future as Verizon will probably just sell out current inventory of the device rather than continue to order new shipments. The cycle seems natural as the carrier is about to launch a number of new devices on its network.

Samsung Celox's specifications listing reveals that the Android phone has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 800x480 screen resolution. This is at par with Droid Bionic's conjectured 4.5-inch display with Qhd TFT screen with 960x540 screen resolution.

A leaked Verizon roadmap shows plenty of new Android and 4G LTE devices heading to consumers this fall.We just heard the news that Android has a stranglehold on the US Smartphone market, and it doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon. In a leaked screenshot of Verizon’s roadmap for the next few months, we see two trends emerging: There are several Android devices coming out, and a large amount of LTE devices as

Vodafone suspends sales of blocked Galaxy Tab 10.1

Everything Everywhere, which operates Orange and T-Mobile, does not offer
pre-orders on the device so is unaffected by the changes.

However, it is likely to impact chipmakers which have already been buffeted by
delays in the launch of tablet computers that could rival the iPad.

Earlier this year, Wolfson Microelectronics - which counts Samsung among its
customers - warned that its second-quarter sales would be below expectations
because orders of its microchips were reduced or delayed.

Samsung Galaxy S II with Motorola Droid Bionic like feature unearthed

Another Samsung Galaxy S2 variant spotted ahead of the United States release date.
Now it looks like the United States of America is really not the “favorite” of Samsung Mobile, or they’re just into polishing things before releasing their phones in the US market?
A new day means a new Samsung smartphone leak. After the rumors about the Samsung Stratosphere circulated on the internet last week, a new, and obviously very interesting Android smartphone helmed by the Korean-based smartphone manufacturer has been found, and according to an Engadget article, the phone holds a codename

Things move quickly in the technology marketplace, and the Samsung Droid Charge 4G Android phone released for the blazing Verizon Wireless LTE 4G network is certainly one of them. With a large single core processor, big screen and feature set indicative of mobile 4G handsets costing much more than the $69 price tag it carries, the Samsung Droid Charge 4G is definitely priced attractively comparative to similarly featured 4G smartphones.
With most every 4G smartphone sporting a dual core processor, for Samsung to release

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Verizon 4G - 16GB - White

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE has the same thin, iPad 2-like design as the Wi-Fi-only version of the tablet. So the question is, are blazingly fast 4G speeds worth being stuck in a two-year commitment?

Design and features
The first thing that struck us upon taking the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE (Verizon) out of its box was its slim profile. In fact, when it's lying next to the iPad 2 we honestly can't tell which tablet is thicker and unfortunately we don't have a micrometer handy to get down into the business of microns. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE Verizon weighs 1.24 pounds,

HTC Vigor (with 720p display) and Samsung Stratosphere coming to Verizon?

By Florin on 03 Aug 11

There’s no doubt that Verizon will launch the Samsung Galaxy S II soon, but we don’t know what the handset’s final name is going to be. We’ve heard not along ago that Verizon may call it Samsung Fascinate II, and now a new possible name has appeared: Samsung Stratosphere.
According to Droid-life, the Samsung Stratosphere will be a 4G LTE device, and Verizon Wireless is already mentioning it on its website. So, yes, this could be the carrier’s S II. But it could also be that SCH-i405 QWERTY slider. Hopefully, we’ll find out more

Will Apple's Ban Make The Galaxy Tab More Attractive?

Image by Getty Images Europe via @daylife

We humans tend to crave that which we are denied. So could Apple‘s successful injunction against Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe, based largely on patent claims, make the rival tablet more attractive?
Suddenly this is the tablet computer that Apple doesn’t want you to have. It was so intent on stopping its sale to Europe that in the same week the tablet became available in the U.K., Apple filed a 44-page complaint to a German court last week. You can read a copy of the complaint (in German) here via the Fosspatents blog,

Motorola Droid 3 review of specs, qwerty, and price drop for Droids newest 3G ...

The Droid 3 follows in the footsteps of the Droid 2 and the original Droid Android smartphone which is the proverbial Adam to the hundreds of Android mobile handsets which have followed it. Wisely, Motorola didn’t change the appearance too much, but did make the display bigger, the processor stronger and addressed the complaint that Droid 2 users had about the side sliding keyboard. At an attractive retail of only $49, the Motorola Droid 3 is certainly priced just about as low as a smartphone can go. What other specs

The original Motorola Droid was a trailblazing phone when it launched. In fact, it’s a historical device — one of the very first Android phones and the very first to take on Verizon’s Droid moniker. Then came the sequel — the Droid 2 — and unfortunately, it was rather disappointing. As an owner of the

My problem with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

I can't apply updates. C`mon, how hard must this be?
Generally, I prefer Galaxy Tab 10.1 to iPad 2. I like how the device feels in the hand, and I'm now accustomed to its longer, narrower shape when held in portrait mode. I find Tab to be generally faster and more responsive than iPad 2, and Android 3.1 is considerably more pleasing than iOS 4. I could go on -- and would -- in a full review, which I was saving for Samsung's TouchWiz UX user interface/skin that released Friday. I can't install it -- hell, I can't even come close. Before continuing, two interrelated points need to
