Q. So, I recently got this new tablet. An android. It's android version 2.3.4, and it is a Pandigital NOVA 7-Inch android Tablet. I've tried downloading apps that might enable multi-touch, but they won't work.

A. Oh, wow, suggesting Angry Birds -_- because NO ONE'S ever heard of Angry Birds, right? Pfft.
Try Scooter Hero, Paper Toss, Temple Run, Abduction, Whack Your Boss, Draw Something (it's online though), Fruit Slice/Fruit Ninja, or download a heap of emulators, they have SNES, GBA, GameBoy, MegaDrive, they have a whole heap more too, except I still haven't found a N64 one, they're all really great, and finding a good free one isn't hard if you have a bit of a look around.
These online games are fun: Zombies Live, Vampires Live, Bakery Story, Farm Story, etc. Now remember, Zombies Live, Vampires Live, Farm Story and Bakery Story are all using Storm8, so when you save your game in ZL or VL and you already have an account on Bakery Story or Farm Story, the account is the same Storm8 account you use on FS or BS, which is already preset onto your phone, so make sure when you save on VL or ZL and you already have FS or BS (or vice versa) to use the same Storm8 ID or else when you go onto BS or FS after making up a new ID on ZL or VL you'll have started a new game with this account, but if you accidentally do that, all you have to do is go back to ZL or VL and save your game under your original Storm8 ID and it'll automaticaly take you back to your old bakery/farm.
My personal fav android game is Inotia 3: Children of Carnia, you should definitely get it, it's awesome, it's an adventure game.
