Everything Everywhere, which operates Orange and T-Mobile, does not offer
pre-orders on the device so is unaffected by the changes.
However, it is likely to impact chipmakers which have already been buffeted by
delays in the launch of tablet computers that could rival the iPad.
Earlier this year, Wolfson Microelectronics - which counts Samsung among its
customers - warned that its second-quarter sales would be below expectations
because orders of its microchips were reduced or delayed.
