While the US Android community waits and waits for the Samsung Galaxy S II to release, owners of last year’s Samsung Epic 4G have something to be excited over. Sprintfeed reports that the Epic 4G is finally getting an Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. The holdup, apparently, has been Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. You might remember the upgrade to Froyo for the Epic 4G, in which Sprint stopped the update almost as soon as it was released, making people wait even longer. Let’s hope this rollout goes more smoothly.
