What is the best ,most user friendly smart phone for the money and is Android the best operating system?

Q. I want to get the ol' lady a smart phone and know nothing about them.

I'd like suggestions for a phone, operating system and even who you like as a provider.

She will be using it for basic stuff , calls , texts , hands free with her Pioneer bluetooth car stereo and some internet access.

What would you suggest ?

A.

How do you get android apps on Pioneer AVH X4500BT?
Q. I own a Samsung Galaxy Note II and I'm trying to get the Apps to work on my new car stereo. My question is how do I get the apps to work on the unit?

A.

is there a car music dock for samsung s3?
Q. I'm wondering if there is some sort of car dock for the samsung galaxy s3 that I can use in my car to play pandora through my car stereo etc...
I know that Iphones have something similar, just didn't know if they had anything on the android market.
I do have an AUX button in my car, but it says "no AUX output" when I press it. I don't have a port to plug anything into. Just the cig lighter port.
I only ask because a friend of mine had something like this....she has a dock that plugs into her cig lighter port. she can play pandora through an AM station on her radio that is compatible.
Does anyone know if the android market has this and where they're sold?

A.

Is there a Bluetooth car stereo system that is designed for Android, vice iPod/iPhone?

Q. My current stereo seems to be designed for iPod. When I connect my Android phone, Razr Maxx, to my car stereo, it works, but song/artist/album/length doesn't show up on the screen. There are also many features that seem unused when using my phone vice if it were an iPhone. Do they make a system that works great with my Android phone?

A. most stereos are still not android ready. you will in 2012 some radios android ready but as far as i have seen its mostly the navi radios. I hope they come out with some single din regular radios android ready soon for the people that want sumtin basic or cant afford a 1000$ radio

Can/How do I play music from my Bluetooth phone (samsung Mesmerize) to my bluetooth car stereo?
Q. I just got a Samsung Mesmerize android phone that has bluetooth, and I want to play music from it to my car stereo (kenwood) using bluetooth. I've been told that this will usually work. Please let me know. Thanks a bunch

A. Kenwood makes a lot of radios so you really need to be more specific of the model number.

What Android models have the best sound quality?
Q. I currently have an LG Optimus T. It's a budget Android phone. Good quality, full-featured Android in a small package. Big drawback other than the crappy camera is that the audio sounds like garbage. When I plug the 3.5mm jack into my car stereo, it sounds atrocious. I would like to get a new Android next year but I want to upgrade to something with much better sound output from the 3.5mm jack. Something that will sound comparable in quality to an iPod. I have a great car stereo system so I want to be able to take advantage of that.

What are some Android phones known for high quality audio?

A. i think Samsung Galaxy Series and Sony Xperia series are best for sound quality

Is there a way to play my music through my car stereo via USB?
Q. I just bought a new car stereo receiver, and it has a USB port, and it wont work with my Droid. It will only work with my iPod, but I have a lot more songs on my phone. I didn't know if there was something I was doing wrong, or if I could just download an app that let me do it.

A. Add this module to your car stereo
it is a Bluetooth android interface, plug in using the auxiliary input on the back side of the new radio

what's better for listening to streaming music? iPhone, Android, or one of the others?

Q. i like to listen to dance music, and i want to listen on my bluetooth-enabled car stereo. Thanks! p.s. I know that iPhone has tons of apps for streaming music, but Android may handle it better, I dont know.

A. As much as i love Android, Android doesn't support listening to music in a bluetooth enabled car right now. It's something you would expect since tons of phones can do that. But unfortunately i'm going to have to recommend an Iphone for you. :(

How can I listen to downloaded music on my android phone through my car stereo?
Q. I have a 1998 Honda CR-V so it doesn't have all of the modern connections. Thank you!

A. You can buy an FM Transmitter, plug it into the earphone socket on your phone and then you can tune your car radio in to pick it up on the FM frequency. You should be able to get an FM transmitter in an electronics shop.

How can I play music from my Droid X on my car stereo?
Q. I have a 2006 Ford Fusion SEL and would like to play music from my Droid X in the car. There is no auxiliary plug-in or anything like that in the car. So I'm guessing the best way would be to somehow broadcast music from the phone to the stereo via a radio frequency. I see a bunch of Bluetooth options when I search online, but the discussions get WAY too technical for my simple mind. Is there a good product out there I could use for this?

A. stay away from any fm modulator transmitter they do not work , sound quality is very poor
the best way is this android interface, you can plug it in the back side of the radio and it stays there there are no cables wires, it turn on from the android phone,

the other option is the auxiliary audio input for the ford fusion radio, you have a AUX button that you can use to input audio into the ford radio, this also works along but there is a wire
for the best sound quality use the aux interface and the android bluetooth together

How to play music from an android phone in a car?
Q. How do i play music from my android phone to the speakers of a 2001 BMW X5? It doesnt have an aux input or usb.

A. mObridge

This device costs around $700 installed and will give you an aux input. The other option is to replace the stereo, which will cost you around $500 installed and you'll have an aux port.

Do you have a tape deck in there? They sell adapters at Radioshack that look like a cassette tape with a wire coming out. Plug the wire into your phone and you're good to go.

There's also FM transmitters, but they sound like cock. Direct wired FM modulators are a headache in this car so I wouldn't look for that either.

Is there an android app that allows you to play music from your phone library through your car speakers?

Q. Can I play music that's on my phone through my car speakers without a cord? App?

A. Only if your phone has an FM transmitter built in, or your car stereo has an A2DP Bluetooth receiver.

Otherwise, you need a cord or an of the above additional hardware.

Is there someway to hook my phone up to my car's stereo to play music?
Q. I have a Chevy Malibu 04 and there is not a usb or audio input and I have an android phone.

A. Dont spend 200$ on a new radio, go to autozone and buy a ipod connecterbkit. Plugs rite into the aux cable on the back oc your radio, its simple can be done in less then 5 min. The only problem your going to have is finding a place to bring out the ipod cable :)

Listen to music via the USB on my car stereo and use the navigation app on my android phone at the same time?
Q. As it stands I can pick either using the media player or using the navigator. But on some long trips where the radio is playing crappy tunes or no tunes at all, I want to listen to my MP3s. I could take out my micro SD card and plug in a USB convertor, but then I can't charge my phone. Any suggestions?

A. Post your question here:
