How to unbrick my android tab?

Q. My tablet is an acer A100. Its in a bootloop. This is because I changed my boot animations now it won't boot it just stays at the boot screen. Its rooted. It runs on android honeycomb.I think that is 3.0. Plzzzzzz help me unbrick my tab.

A. just googling

what are pros and cons of rooting an android phone?
Q. i have a huawei mercury and i want to root my phone but idk all about rooting so i need some help.

A. Pros:

You can overclock your phone using apps like rom toolbox, this app also allows you to change your phone's boot animation, font, notification bar icons etc.

You can install a unofficial firmware updates on to your phone from the likes of cyanogenmod.

Once that is done, you can access apps that you couldn't before.

cons:

You might brick your phone. (Part or all the phone doesn't work. Usually it's all the phone.)

Your warranty becomes nothing.

I do not recommend rooting a expensive new phone. You could mess it up big time.

What benefits are there to rooting my HTC EVO 4G?
Q. I have a year old EVO and basically it sucks now. I've tried deleting as many applications as i can, but my phone is still far slower than it used to be, if i rooted it would it help at all? If not, what benefits would it give me

A. if the phone is slow.. as slow in performance... then that means your making the CPU do more than it can.... chill out on the widgets and live wallpaper and other active syncs you ahev going on...

next.. the cache... when was the last time you did cache maintance.. like a computer, Android needs maintance... Get 1-click Cleaner... run cache clear only... scan,,, then clear all cache button.... then reboot...

#3.... uninstall any task killers you have... im not gonna lecture... but simply say task killers are not meant for Android 2.0+.... ontl for cupcake 1.5 and donut 1.6... only idiots use task killers... Instead, get Watchdog LITE.... its a TASK MANAGER!. you see when you kill apps, you stop a nature process. Thus making apps and eventually the stock ROM act CRAZY! This lagsness can be a result form tons and tons of force kills on task killer on a EVO... only a factory reset can fix this issue

doing the 3 things above can improve CPU performance....

Rooting... give superuser access to the phone.. you can remove ads in apps (adfree), freeze bloatware (bloatfreezer) (both of these can free up the CPU), make app and settting backups (Titanium backup), flash ROMS (ROM Manager), change notification icons, 3g icons, battery icons, vibrate icons, airplane mode icons, wifi icons, change boot animation, change boot logo (ninjamorph and metamorph), Make a 1Ghz CPU run at 1.5 Ghz faster CPU---this is called overclocking the phone making it faster (setCPU).... there is so much... you have no idea... become a member of Androidcentral.com... religiously read the EVO forums.. start learning your phones potential...

Is there a Jailbreak for the Samsung Galaxy s3?

Q. I want to get the GS3, but will only do so if there some sort of jailbreak i could do? I just want to have 100% control of how my phone acts, looks, and operates. Is there anything I can do that would allow this? I'm new to the android market. OS is to run of the mill.

A. It runs on Android, for crying out loud. Almost all customization can be done on it out of the box.

And did you mean Root? Yea, there is a root for SGS III. When you root it, you will have complete control on the system. You can then customize things like boot animations etc... Head on to http://xda-developers.com for download links, development forums, etc...

Can I get a bootanimation on my android phone without rooting it first?

Q. I tried to add the transformers boot animation to my phone and I did not root it. It's just the standard lg optimus but I went through all the steps exactly and it's not showing up.

A. Yep, most likely you will need root. Boot animations are part of the system, and in order to be able to get write access to that, you will need root.

[Android] GO Launcher Ex: How do I disable the Christmas animations?
Q. I've recently installed the Go Launcher Ex for my Android device, which I'm loving so far, but everytime I boot my device or unlock my screen, these annoying christmas animations pop up all over my home screen. It was cute at first, but I'm very much annoyed by them already. How do I make them go away?

A. Press the menu button & select preferences to open GO settings. Then toggle Christmas effect

Will my 'bootscreen' remain as the Orange animation after unlocking my mobile?
Q. I have a Motrola DEXT (Cliq) that I have just unlocked from the Orange network to change to Giffgaff and although the phone is unlocked, the Orange animation still shows when I turn my phone on. Will this always remain on my phone although I am no longer locked into Orange's network?
Thanks.

A. If you haven't rooted and updated to android 2.3.4 You should. If you just want to remove the animation you would have to root the phone install "Root Explorer" from market and then find the boot animation and delete it. Once deleted it will fall back to the android default animation. It should be under /system/media/bootanimation.zip

my phone wont start up it just loops the boot up animation what do i do?

Q. i have a straight talk android, and i share it with a friend. one day we turned it on and it just looped the start up screen and jingle. i know its not water damage bc we havent dropped it in water nor has it been rained on. he says the solar storm fried it but everyone elses phone is just fine. so please tell me some possible solutions. some tricks that might work. we cant afford another phone.
straight talk LGL55C is my phone model. and i cant figure out how to post questions or email you on that stupid website.

A. If taking the battery out and putting it back in doesn't work, then you should do a master reset. Exactly what phone do you have? You can reset it using the buttons of the phone, but I can't tell you what the button combination is without knowing your phone. If you need any help figuring that out, let me know at http://howdoyouandroid.blogspot.com/
