Skype was one of the great inventions that brought us by the Internet and it was something we were expecting to apply to our phones.
However, it seems that the end result is disappointing. The battery drain is outrageous and comfort and functionality of desktop Skype does not shine anywhere here. We agree that Skype was a great idea when it was launched, but nearly all carriers offer unlimited calls at an affordable rate. Useful if you’re calling to a foreign country but doubtful otherwise. Our great hope was videochat, but we found it laggy and awkward.
