Q. My Verizon HTC Incredible is coming this week, and I am new to smartphones. What are the best apps to get in the android market?
A. Everything on this list is free from the android market
Most if not all applications in this list have 4 stars and up.
Applications:
Advance task killer - kill running task easily
Album art grabber - if you cant find album art for some of your music this app is the best.
Apps Organizer - Organize your apps (especially if you have allot on your home screen)
Astro - it's like a windows explorer. Allows you to look through the directories on the phone and much more (you can also view png files that you email to yourself if you download this)
Barcode scanner - Allows you to easily download apps from the web strait to your droid using a desktop or laptop
Bible (YouVersion) - The best bible app out there. Gives you access to all translations you can think of
Documents to go - allows you to view pdf, word, excel, (and I think PowerPoint) from your droid
Droid light - turns your led flash into a flash light
Google voice - if you have a Google voice account, you can send text messages and call
anyone for free (you cant receive calls for free on your cell phone though)
Missed Call - If you missed a call and didn't hear it ring, a light will blink showing you that you missed a call or text message
Mixzing lite - allows you to play your music and show the album art even if you dont have it
Mobile Banking - allows you to check your banking accounts from your phone easy and securely
***My Days - (for women) allows her to enter personal information about her lady stuff
ScreenModeWidget - allow you to keep your screen from sleeping, allow your screen to sleep but when you turn it back on, it's not locked, or allow it to auto sleep and when you turn your phone back on, its locked (This is a widget)
An even better one than the ScreenModeWidget is ScreenOn - allows you to pick which applications you want the screen to say on for. So say you are using the browser and you don't want the screen to turn off, then open screen on and select browser and the screen will stay on as long as the browser is open.
Tech Buzz widget - stay up to date with all the latest android news (this is a must have)
iMusic - allows you to listen to almost any music you can think of free. Also allows you to download the music free as well. Just search for your favorite artist and see their music pop up.
Movies - application that tells you when movies are playing and in what theater. You can even order tickets on it. It also gives you a trailer to watch just in case you don't remember what the movie is about.
Games
Air hockey demo
---Poke a mole
Radiant lite
Labyrinth
HomerunBattle3D
GameBoid Lite
Robo Defense
Raging Thunder 2
Other
Google sky map
Engadget - Keep up to date with the latest technology.
Lookout - Anti virus for android, gives remote wipe if your device is stolen. Also tells you the exact location of your phone if it is lost and it will play a loud siren for you to find it.
It's a long list, but I hope this helps

Is there any remote desktop app for Android?
Q. I just got a new Android phone and I'm wondering if there's any app that allows you to remotely view (and even better, control) your desktop computer. Also, just a side question, how can I turn off notifications from my Email app?
A. There are many app for accessing you Android desktop remotly or accessing another computer from your Android.
Before I go on with answering your question, remember, Android is a Linux based operating system, so nothing is impossible.
First app is:
 Teamviewer for Android
 Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamviewer.teamviewer.market.mobile
Note: You need to have the id and password of a machine that has teamviewer before logging into it
 Android-VNC-Viewer
 Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=android.androidVNC
Note: Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a graphical desktop sharing system that uses the RFB protocol (remote framebuffer), so basically you don't care what VNC software the other machine uses, it could be TightVNC, Real VNC, Vino... Nobody cares
This are my favorites, but there are many more, here is a list for you:

How to utilize a cpu from a remote computer via wifi/internet?
Q. I would like to know if it is possable to use a cpu from a remote computer say my tablet to run certain processe like music for example and send it back to my pc via wifi. Basically im using FL studio and would like to know if i can send those processes or split them up, so i can send one half to another computer for processing. Maby break it into threads and send those across wifi.?
Basically I just want to make it so its like running several cpu's together on one motherboard, my pc, but without actually having them but using the computers arround me. This would be a kool app if someone could make one for android/mac/pc.

A. You're describing grid computing or "cloud computing" (though grid computing is more correct).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grid_computing
Or, you're looking for remote desktop solutions, such as RDP, and virtualization. You're mixing it together a bit here, though.

Are there any tablets that can efficiently let me remote into my work computer to use Photoshop or InDesign?
Q. I know a laptop would be better for JUST this purpose, but I'd also like to use it part time as a portable media device/web browser and part time to do some work. Is this fantasy thinking?
A. This is still in its fantasy thinking of Steve Jobs. The critical word I see is "Efficiently" specially for the work on photoshop or indesign. Yeah tablets(android, ipads) have come a long way since their inception and they do allow you to Remote Desktop to control the desktop - assuming you have good and reliable network. But for the professional kind of work - they do not suite your needs - just because the resolution on tablets is much less and connectivity could also be an issue.
If I were you - the best thing to do is to use a Webservice such as Dropbox or Zumodrive or microsoft's skydrive(?) and drop your files. The first two provide 2GB free and Microsoft has 25GB free if you have some WindowsLive account. I would copy them to these places and come home and download them to your local desktop/laptop. Alternatively, use a portable USB drive to copy and can avoid all the network hassles.
BTW, I have iPad and also Remote Desktop app as well. I use it mostly for ease of connectivity and things that I cannot do easily on iPad such as launch iTunes, so I can stream my movies from networked storage to my large screen LCD TV via Apple TV, or print a doc which is not easy to do so from iPad, copy things that I need from local machine to Network drives. Such activities I can easily do them. I have tried launching Photoshop, which works fine but the color contrasts and images do not look right and will have to repeat my work. I am not a professional photoshop user, but still love to do minimal edits - which I always do on desktop (iMac 27" which is cool). Same goes for Video editing as well. I use iPad via remote connectivity to check the status of the DVD burning etc.
Even a netbook is not good enough for real professional Photoshop editors, they are good for quick editing and viewing.
