Can you beam someone into outerspace in Star Trek?

Q. There are so many occasions when they could do that (like in TNG) but they don't. is it against some kind of ethical code to beam someone into outer space?
lol it always seems such a funny thought to me. Scenario: a Romulan ambassador refuses to compromise with Picard. Picard gets pissed and orders Geordi: beam the b**tard into space!

A. It's unethical, but it's been done a couple of times in urgent situations:

"Wolf in the Fold" (TOS) - The crew discovers a non-corporeal entity which is capable of possessing people and was responsible for the Jack the Ripper murders of 1888. In order to keep the entity from going on another rampage, the crew trap it in its current host, knock the host out with an injection, and then beam the host's body into space (wide beam, maximum dispersal) which effectively "kills" the entity. Tough break for the host, but they didn't have time to figure out a way to save him without turning the entity loose to run amuck all over the ship.

"Datalore" (TNG) - Data's "twin brother" Lore is discovered, reassembled, and proves to be hostile. They end up beaming him into space just as he's about to kill someone with a phaser. Unlike the "Ripper" host, Lore doesn't get the dispersal beaming. Since he's an android, he survives the exposure to space and floats around for a few years until he's rescued by a passing ship.

There is a long-standing Star Trek joke that the one person whose s**t list you absolutely do NOT want to wind up on is not the captain, but the transporter operator. :-)

EDIT - @Esper: Thanks, I forgot about Nomad (episode "The Changeling").

Is the iphone 5 better or the samsung galaxy s3?
Q. I am due to get a new phone but cant really decide which one to get! I have been using the android system for quite a while and seem to like it...but i would love something new. I am also doubting the size of the galaxy and wondering if the size is just too big for my small hands! ha I have also been hearing that the Galaxy works much better and has much better screen resolution...but honestly which phone would be the the better one for me to get?

A. A very hard question to answer as both of these are very solid choices, but each user will tell you a different answer. Both phones has its up and downs. Here's my take: The Samsung Galaxy S III has a larger display and Android ecosystem with addition to some cool features like S Beam, NFC, etc. The iPhone 5 has a much better build quality, smoother operation UI and a slightly better camera. If cost is a big factor, the price difference between the two is quite significant. Check out some Comparisons on Youtube to help make your decision. Can't go wrong with either choices though.

What is the significance of this Bladerunner quote?
Q. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die."

A. In the last moments prior to his death Roy remembers his humanity and saves Rick he then starts to reminisces what he saw and what he did and no human has or will do the things he achieved. He was closer to being human than any of th others except Rachael she was his finale accomplishment. But Roy was very smart he was aware which brought it closer to what the book drew on 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'.

So was it remorse for what he had done? or looking on his past as he knows he is going to die and he looks deeply inward to express how he really feels. To me he could have killed rick as he killed the others even Pris to whom he grew fond of. Also was Rick a replicant this and many other questions of the film has spawned many Forums and Blogs to continue to ask and find the meaning behind the film.

There are even Wikis for the film the one below gives one some thoughts.

Interesting point is I just got the Documentary about the movie tonight been looking forward to it all day.
Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner (2007)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1080585/
Just did a quick look at it and Rutger Hauer in a long point of view he mentioned many things about his character and one was he was seeking his soul amongst other things.

How do you beam pictures from a Google Android phone? G1?
Q. I just got this G1 and I don't know how to beam pictures. With my old phone, the t mobile dash I only had to go to the picture and press menu and then beam picture. The phone has bluetooth. Help !

A. G1 is not yet able to "beam" pictures and other files, because it lacks bluetooth protocols...(for now only headsets can be connected to phone using bluetooth)
Bluetooth will be fixed in one of next updates....
