The development team, Team Blackhat, has leaked an Android 2.3 build for the Samsung Droid Charge. There’s a bit of legwork involved before you can get the update and obviously you will need to be rooted.
In order to receive the update, you may need to flash back to an older firmware, take multiple over-the-air (OTA) updates and then you will be good to go. Full instructions and file downloads are available at the source link below. Please remember that nobody is responsible for what you do to your devices besides yourself. Rooting may not be the right choice for everyone.
